| I haven't seen the trailer for the game yet, but if that's the picture HG is basing their potential lawsuit off of I don't think they have a case. To me it looks more like a Clan Hellbringer than a Warhammer. | |

| Not based on that picture. I remember using the old designs back in when I was playing Mechwarrior 2. | |

yeah, but do you think they stand a chance? lol Actually, yes I do. If you watch the whole trailer, the mecha in question looks like a very modified Tomahawk, but it's still a Tomahawk. There's no way HG'll let this one slip. And, they'll win.

| But from what I remember both the Clan Loki and Hellbringer were very simmilar to the Warhammer/Tomahawk. | |

| All I can say is to watch the whole trailer, then make your decision. In my eyes, it's a Tomahawk/Warhammer. | |

| Odd as it may seem, Harmony Gold is actually in the right here.
Piranha Games and Catalyst Game Labs were violating their exclusive right to use the designs of the original Macross series for merchandise. It's just a repeat of Harmony Gold v. FASA.

| Correct me if I'm wrong, but Microsoft has something do with the Mechwarrior series. If that's so since I don't have an Xbox and have a Mac at home I won't be able to play it anyway. | |

| This is so petty and STUPID.
Yet more bad PR for HG. This is how you DON'T run a business (pay attention kiddies)...
Actually, I'd like to find the japanese artist(s) that made the 12 images IN THE FIRST PLACE and if he/they sold the rights to it to HG IN PERPETUITY I would kick his/their asses.
Otherwise at some point the artist should be able to take back control of HIS creation and say to HG fuck you I'll let anyone who want to use it (for a price).
Anyone ever do the real reserach on the actual leagal status?
