That means you and I, incisivis hurr

here's a nice sketch of Bron, Rico, & Konda
done in my style of course!

sketches for the zentards! Bronricokondasketch
it was my first attempt at drawing them, so be gentle!

I also drew Exedore too!

sketches for the zentards! Exedoresketch

I know in the cartoon his eyes are MUCH larger, but when realism kicks in they tend to shrinky-dink.

I tried to make him look recognizable at least!

anywho both of those are initialed by me
how fantabulous...

yay

Looks like I've got an early birthday present.

Great art; I wish I could draw like this.

Though I always think of Rico as having that Skrull chin, rather than regular cheekbones, and Konda as being more softer-featured.

hehe early birthday present? that works for me Razz
anywho, thanks for the comments I'm glad you like em
Rico was a bit of a challenge for me as was Exedore, Bron and Konda were
fairly easy but it was a pain to find the best reference cause there aren't many
pictures of them, well feature wise anyway lol,
so I just used the best one I could find.
damn I should of came to you, I'm sure you have a ton of pictures I could of used wah

...no comment. Grin

Although, Konda and Bron are likely easier to draw anyway, because they aren't so funny-looking.

See also: Exedore. XD

(and adding glasses to Rico just made him even more adorable)

Welp, I actually have only about a handful of screencaps of Rico, but I do have scans of his model sheets from Robotech Art 1 and some Macross books, which are probably better given how much bad animation and off-model art there is in the series.

I started adding color to this last night

sketches for the zentards! Bronricokondacolortest

Still a lot more painting to do till I can call it complete, but what I've done is added the colors I'm going to use and started mapping out the light source and where the shading goes of course. I have started doing some of the painting over the lineart, but most of it is underpainting work. "Guidelines" to be more specific. Rico's skin tone was the most difficult because it's gray so I had to mess around with my palettes before finding the colors that worked. But this is just what I've started doing so far.

Also the shitty text that says "color test" is actually my handwriting... well I made a font out of my handwriting titled "Shitty handwritting" of course!
can't wait till I make a font out of my cursive, titled "shitty cursive"

Haven't been on in awhile! The colorized image looks great, but there is some thing about the uncolored sketch that I like better.

thanks! I also agree with your opinion on the sketches, sometimes they just look better, but I think that's because with a sketch you can see all the detail and sometimes coloring can take away from that, but I do hope that the finished version will look just as good.
