The paint scheme of the day is..............

Paint and Body part 2 Izzypandfs-1-2

For those of you not familiar with whom this is I will give you a brief background.
Izzy Randal is a character from the Robotech Battlecry Video game.
Her story sadly has not been touched with any kind of information or history other
than her being present on the return Voyage of the SDF-1 to earth.
After the great Zentraedi Bombardment of earth and the
destruction of Dolza's fortress, she was assigned to Base-6.
Rumor has it that there is a potential of romance between her and Jack Archer.
Other than this not much else is known..

Here is the clip of her image taken from the game and a Rendering i made
based on the paint scheme from the game.

And now it is my honor to bring this untold hero to life (well at least her Valkyrie anyways)

In this picture you can see that i have disassembled and applied the first coat of paint
to what used to be Max Jenius' VF-1A (of course in 1/100 scale)
Part of the reason for the disassemble was due to a very trying modification
that i wanted to incorporate into this particular Valk.

Here is my version of the Izzy paint scheme as posed for comparison with the drawing.
If you noticed, I kept the black paint stripes on the wings. I kinda like the added detail it shows.

(Note: i do realize that i forgot to add the decals back on so please don't grill me too bad)

Here we travel through space with Izzy.....ok ok not really its just a view
of the Valk with my Star field screen saver in the background...
..but lets just imagine shall we?

Here you can see that she has changed to Guardian/Gerwalk mode, flown through the
hanger bay doors, and has landed in the famous "Hanger Deck Hang Out"
on board the SDF-1.

Its a LED that i installed through a tedious process of drilling,
soldering, wiring, and trying to figure out where the hell to put the battery lol.
And if you are wondering.....yes the LED is a computer part from the famous crash.
(oh and so it the battery by the way)

Now Izzy has decided to change into Battloid mode and show her colors as well as give you
the glowing "one eyed stare"

(Note: all parts where hand painted with brush..i still need to invest in a air brush)

Thanks HP it was a nice break from the Hanger deck project...but alas its now back to work on the hanger.

Ha Ha well I'm in the process of incorporating detail and lighting at the moment but as soon as I get that done the pictures will be on the way. If you haven't checked already, take a look at the Hanger Deck Hang Out section for the latest on the hanger.

Lol glad you liked this edition of the RDF Paint Shop!! I have to say that Izzy was one of my favorites as well so I had to do something for her cause. Anyways be sure to check out the newest version of the Hanger Deck since I recently posted new material.

Heya, Blue... Maybe I'm seeing the flash on the model, but the green looks a little, oh, heck... Brassy is the description that come to mind, but shiney will have to do. Did you put some flat-coat sealer on the parts? Or, rather, enough of it?

Heya Dread,
The brassy look in the green is actually a reflection of the soft light bulb in my lamp on the desktop.
The green paint is your standard Testors gloss modeling paint with absolutely no flat-coat sealer.
I honestly didn't think of sealing it lol, but it may be a good idea.
